Misty V. Kelsey, Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The funeral service will be Thursday, June 8, at the Cowboy Church of Colbert County, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with Truman Sutton officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Misty was a native and lifelong resident of Tuscumbia and a retired school teacher with Tuscumbia City Schools. She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Colbert County and a graduate of the University of North Alabama. Misty was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Kelsey, Sr.; father, Olen Wrencher of Salt Lake City, UT; mother, Docia Williams; and sisters, Mercedes White and Gilda Stone.
Misty is survived by her sons, Johnny Kelsey, Jr. and Quent Kelsey; brother, Eric Wallace; sister, Margo Willingham; grandchild, Harlie Kelsey; and many nephews and nieces.
