PITTSBORO, MS-A Calhoun County woman has pleaded guilty to charges she had unnatural intercourse with a dog.
Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says Kimberly Coggin, 39, of Vardaman was arrested Saturday, August 6 after authorities conducted an investigation into a photo that had being circulating in Calhoun County and the surrounding area. The photo showed Coggin having sex with a dog. The sheriff also said Coggin admitted to having sex with more than one animal.
Authorities say Coggin opted to waive indictment and pleaded guilty to the charge during a hearing on Monday in Calhoun County Circuit Court.
She was given a 10-year suspended sentence, five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender.
Sheriff Pollan says an investigation is underway into how the photo was released to the community.
