 Milton O’Neal Johnson, 69, died Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Tishomingo, MS to Enis and Elsie Johnson and worked as a logger. He was a member of Carter’s Branch Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 11, 2 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ, Dennis, MS. Burial will be in Tishomingo Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by the love of his life, Sharon Braxton; children, Celia Southward, Simone Hamilton, Nyree Braxton, Tyneisha Henley (Joe), Delijon Bennett (Patrick), Teresa Duckett (Bradley) and Vickie Beene; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Georgia Johnson, Mary Johnson, Effie Johnson, Jeanette Thorne, Enis Johnson, Jr., Jimmy Johnson and Charles Ray Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Jim and Rosella Martin and Charles and Georgia Johnson; two brothers, Robert Ezell Johnson and Tommy Johnson and a sister, Dessie Aquita Alexander.

Pallbearers will be Tyriek Duckett, Jermaine Duckett, Lorenzo Braxton, Horace Allen, Jamie Martin and Enis Johnson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Burgess, Donald Martin and Donald Hill.

Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS and he will lie in state Saturday, November 11, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ.
