Milton Charles Weatherbee, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, AL. He was born April 2, 1937 in Franklin County, AL to Charles Albert and Annie Maude McNatt Weatherbee. He was a graduate of Vina High School, Florence State University (UNA), and Miles College School of Law. He was Director of Governmental Affairs for fifty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army MP Reserve and a lifelong member of the American Legion.

Services will be Saturday, March 30, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He leaves to mourn his passing his special friend, Martha G. Porter of Birmingham, his brother, James (Judy) Weatherbee of Springfield, VA, sister, Doris W. DeCelles of Huntsville, and special nieces, Michelle (Scott) Slusher of Washington, DC and Melissa (Rob) Howley of Huntsville as well as nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Howley, Shepard Howley, Jim Weatherbee, Jr., John Weatherbee, Jeff Weatherbee and Charles Slusher.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 10-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Camp Seale Harris (campsealeharris.org), 500 Chase Park South, Suite 104, Birmingham, AL 35244.
