Mildred W. Pettit Blankenship Schrimsher Pack age 91 of Athens, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Pack was born January 15, 1923 in Morgan County to Franklin Thomas Pettit and Ada Barnes Pettit.
Services will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Bobby Schrimsher, Jr. and Arvid McGuire officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. in the New Center Cemetery in Morgan County.
Mrs. Pack was a member of West View Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Ada Pettit; one son, William Franklin Blankenship; three husbands, Chester Blankenship, Otto Schrimsher and Homer Pack, Sr.; several brothers and sisters.
Survived by several nieces and nephews; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Blankenship; several step-children and step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim McGuire, Joe Williams, David McGuire, Ben Harrison and James Pack. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Pressnell, Sam Buchanan, Tony Andrews and Sam King.
