Mildred Schrimsher, age 91, of Decatur, died Thursday in Decatur. There will be a graveside service, 2 p.m. Sunday at Athens City Cemetery with Bobby King officiating. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schrimisher was born April 14, 1923, to the late Mason and Alice Bean. Educated in Limestone County and a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ, she was retired from Goodyear. Mrs. Schrimsher was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Luther Jackson (L.J.) Schrimisher; sisters, Myrtle Hagood, Lillian Brown; brothers, Dexter and Baxter Bean; niece, Margaret Jean Bentley; and nephew, Richard Allen Hagood.
She is survived by a niece, Joyce Brackett and husband Dick and family of Tennessee; the family of Richard Allen Hagood, Kenneth and Wayne Bean and several great nephews and nieces.
