Funeral services for Bertie Lou Boatright Creel, 85 of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Monday, October 20th, 2014 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kerry Cleghorn officiating with interment in Hopewell Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Creel went home to be with her Savior on Friday, October 17th, at The Folsom Center. She was born October 8, 1929 to parents, Burnett and Effie Whatley Boatright of Center Hill, Alabama. She was a graduate of St. Bernard College with a teaching degree and taught several years at the little school on Bolte Road. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church for most of her adult life. She was a very sweet and quiet petite lady with a smile on her face. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dale Creel; her parents; brothers, Carl, Clifford, Ottis Boatright; sisters, Edith Cullen and Elois McMinn.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Woodrow Creel and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, October 20th from 9-11 a.m. at Cullman Funeral Home.
