Mildred E. Pate Mildred E. Pate, 94 of Bayview, Alabama, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 11, 2022, surrounded by her children.

She was born on December 31, 1927 in Walker County, Alabama.  Mildred was a member of Bayview Baptist Church.  She found her calling in a career of being a caregiver and was always sought after to help a family to care for their loved one.  She was loved by every family that hired her.  Not only did she give their loved one the best in care she came to love each person as if they were her family.  She never obtained a drivers license but it did not stop her from going wherever she wanted to go either by golf cart in her neighborhood or traveling with friends seeing almost every state in the United States, accompanied by her Dalmatian Dotty on the golf cart and often by grandson Keith to different states.  Everyone that knew her was better for it as she was truly loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her Parents-Samuel W. and Lillie M. Clements; Son-Johnny Douglas Pate; Sisters-Lorene Lawler, Mae Clements; Brothers-James Clements, Alver Clements, Junior Clements, Frank Clements, Willie Clements, Bert Clements, Johnny Clements.

She is survived by her Daughters-Donna (Don) Kidd, Karen (Charles) Duncan; Son-Samuel M. Pate; Grandchildren-Keith (April) Thompson, Jason Duncan, Melissa (John) Click; Seven Great Grandchildren and One Great-Great Grandchild; Special thanks to Affinity Hospice nurses Karson and Mildred.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  Graveside at Scott Cemetery.
