Born Mildred Dianne Howell in Hayti, Missouri on December 22, 1954, Dianne Fuller departed this life on Tuesday evening, Feb. 21, 2023 at North Miss. Medical Center after a one year illness. The daughter of the late L. T. Howell and Mildred Martin Lockhart, she moved to the Tupelo area in 1995. She lived in Prattville, Ala. for 8 years with her late husband, Joseph Wayne “Joe Joe” Fuller, Sr., who died March 15, 2020. Dianne was best known as a longtime waitress at the Executive Inn in Tupelo and for many years, at Shockley’s Restaurant in Tupelo. Sharp, witty and very independent, Dianne was the queen of one line zingers. She loved her customers, picked on them and always took care of their needs. Dianne loved traveling especially to the beach, riding Harley’s, old country music and her family. Dianne lived life to the fullest.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Pastor Tommy Galloway officiating. Private burial is in Tupelo Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12PM- 2PM on Sunday only at Holland, which is honored to be serving their friends.
Dianne is survived by her children, Steven Mosley (Judy) of Bruce, Jason Bench and Kandi Adams both of Tupelo; step children, Jody Fuller (Jessica) of Prattville, Ala. and Misty Fuller Trumble (Mark) of Glenwood, Iowa; her grandchildren, Kaleb, Jakub, Chyna, Jayda, Alex, Graham, Samantha, Preston and Jackson. Her siblings, Becky Mangrum of Channelview, Tx. and Peggy Welsh of Baytown, Tx. Patricia Gail Lockhart and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Joe Joe and two brothers Kenneth Morgan Lockhart and Larry Dale Lockhart.
The family wishes that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 382105 instead of flowers.
