Mickey Lee Congo, Sr., 70, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on December 26, 2023. Affectionately known as Pop, Mickey was born to J.T. and Juanita Congo on October 18, 1953. He worked as an electrician for 40 years before retiring in 2018. He loved his family, fishing, and hunting.
Mickey is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sylvia; their three children, Angela Whitener (David), Stephanie Zachman (William), and Mickey Congo, Jr.; five grandchildren, Lillie, Maddie, Jackson, Addison, and William; and two brothers, Richard Congo (Terrie) and Mark Congo (Lisa). Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Juanita.
Mickey’s family will host a visitation on Thursday, December 28th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, and a graveside service on Friday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
