Michael Scott SchubbeMichael Scott Schubbe, 63, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away at his residence Thursday, June 4, 2026. He has spent the last 15 years in the area.
He was born on Monday, July 23, 1962, to John Schubbe and Maureen Schubbe in Elgin, Illinois. Michael lived life like his favorite sports team played: with unwavering passion, loyalty, and hope for a great season ahead.
Michael was the happiest when the water was calm and his line was cast. An avid fisherman and kayaker, he spent countless hours hanging at the river, finding peace in nature. His favorite days were spent floating under the open sky, or gambling at the machines.
He rarely went on an adventure alone. His faithful dog and best friend “Bandit” was always by his side, riding shotgun in the automobile or sitting perfectly by his side.
When he wasn’t on the water, Michael could be found cheering loudly for his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs as well as an avid Alabama fan. Through every winning season and tough loss, his dedication to his teams never wavered, a true sports fan through and through.
Michael was proceeded in death by both his parents, two sisters; Lisa Little, Terrie Kelley, one brother; Vincent Schubbe, one brother-in-law; Don Little.
He was survived by his wife; Erin Pecoraro, four daughters: Kayla Schubbe, Jenny Pecoraro, Maryann Pecoraro, Katlyn Pecoraro, two brothers: Danny Schubbe, Keith Schubbe, one sister; Kim Gaffket, two grandchildren: Kayden Schubbe, Serenity Pecoraro, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 Pm until 2:30 pm. A Graveside Service will follow afterward at 3:00 pm located at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama. Bro. Doug Colwell will be officiating the service.
