Michael “Moocow” Moore, age 58 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. He was born on August 15, 1962 at Wiesbaden AFB in Germany. Before his retirement, he had been employed at Nissan Manufacturing. Michael enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars, as well as listening to music and watching television. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva “Tex” Moore; sister, Teresa Joy Moore; grandmother, Maggie Mae Davis; nephew, Christopher Steele; mother-in-law, Harriett Henley; and brother-in-law, Ralph Henley Jr. Michael is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Connie Henley Moore of Decherd; mother, Joan Davis Moore of Winchester; sisters, Sheila Marie Moore of Decherd, and Debra Trumbo of Thomasville, Georgia; nieces and nephews, Joanna (Jeff) Roberts, George Huffine, Dillin (Traci) Cool, Teresa Joy (Steve) Anker, Stephanie Marie (Brian) McIntosh, and Tyler Kaitlin Hester; several great nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Ralph (Lynette) Henley Sr of Decherd; and brother-in-law, Randy Henley of Decherd. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
