Michael Kevin Kennedy age 57 of Athens, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Kennedy was born June 4, 1957 in Sewickley, PA. to John Kennedy and Barbara Ann Pelkey Kennedy.
Services will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 4:00 p.m., at Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. George Whitten officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his mother Barbara Kennedy; wife, Leslie Kennedy.
Survived by his wife, Gina L. Kennedy of Athens; one daughter, Ashley Lynn Kennedy of Huntsville; father, John Kennedy of PA; one brother, Patrick Kennedy of PA; one sister, Cheryl Yurkowski; one step-son, K. Blake Peters of Athens; one step-daughter, Ashley Peters of Danville; two granddaughters, Carly Thasher and Lacey Beth Thasherof Danville.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Baugher, John Baugher, Steve Pepper, Malcolm Schrimsher, Jerry Jenkins and Pat Preston.
