Michael Joe Sisco, aged 58, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, at his brother’s residence. Born on September 19th, 1966, in Decatur, Alabama, Michael was the son of Monroe and Helen Woods Sisco.
Michael leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Talian Sisco; his daughter, Keshia Adams; and his treasured grandchildren, Hayden, Emily, Kensley, Owen, Kison, and Bentley. He is also survived by his siblings Cindy Hayes, Mark Sisco, Kathy Hudson, Cristy Quillen, Buster Sisco, and Lisa Sisco
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Helen Sisco; his son, Michael Eric Sisco; and his sister, Theresa Tuck.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Donald Terry will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45pm at the funeral home.
Michael Joe Sisco was a special man with a genuine love for life and those around him. He took great pride in his work as a cotton ginner and was an avid supporter of University of Alabama football. Michael’s presence and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
