Michael Dale Hall, 66, of Florence died Monday, August 14, 2017.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Mike was a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School.  He loved motorsports, especially dirt track racing.  He traveled throughout the south working with several teams.  He loved to listen to music while he cooked and could name any song recorded before 1972.  He could tell you what was on the flip side of any single.  His friends called him “Hollywood” because he could spin a good story-some of which were true.  His greatest love was his son, Hobbie.  Though he would not claim any credit for this he was very proud of the man Hobbie became.

Mike is survived by his wife, Leah Daniels; son Michael H. Hall (Camille); brother, Dennis J. Hall (Teresa); nephew, Darrel Hall; niece, Lindsay Moore (Joey).

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, R.W. Hall and Tommie Lucille Hall; wife, Sherri Hall.

Special thanks to the staff at Helen Keller Hospital, Mitchell-Hollingsworth, and Hospice of North Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to your local animal shelter, St. Jude Research Hospital, or support your local racetrack.

You are invited to leave condolences at www.elkinsfuneralhome.com.
