Funeral Service for Melvin Sanford, 74 of Decatur will be Monday August 20, 2018 at 11:00AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating with burial in the Sanford Family Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home Directing. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Sanford was born August 31, 1944 in Lawrence County, AL to Allie Sanford and Ada Irene Smith Sanford. He passed away Friday August 17, 2018 at River City Health and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jean Sanford. 4 Brothers, Dewey Sanford, William Sanford, Wayne Sanford, and Steve Sanford. 1 Sister, Jeannette Sanford.
