Melissa Whitehead Cochran was called home on August 28, 2020 at her home in Albertville, AL. Her journey began on August 6, 1966. She was a devoted wife, mother and granna.
She is survived by: Husband Jeff Cochran, Parents James and Dovie Whitehead, Brother Kevin Whitehead, Children Derek (Cherae) Ellsworth, Tyler (Brittany) Cochran and Lindsey Jefferson. Grandchildren Caroline Cochran, Alexis Clines, Anson Ellsworth, Ellie Jefferson and Maren Rae Ellsworth.
Melissa has touched the lives of so many with her unconditional love, generosity and kindness. She kept those around her laughing and full of cheer with her contagious smile. She felt most at home while at her church, Lifepoint in Albertville, AL. She will be forever cherished, loved and missed. We ask that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her name to Lifepoint.
Melissa’s Celebration of Life will be Monday, August 31 at Lifepoint Church, 700 Motley St. Albertville, AL 35950. Visitation with the family is from 4pm-6pm with the service at 6pm.
