Charles Miles McLaughlin Charles Miles McLaughlin, age 77 of Adamsville, passed away on Friday August 28, 2020 at his residence. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Special Forces; he attended Republic Baptist Church; and was a member of Brookside Masonic Lodge #552 F&AM. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and shooting guns.
Funeral services will be Tuesday September 1, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Guy Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Big Creek Baptist Cemetery (11076 Camp Oliver Rd. Adger, AL 35006). Visitation is Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Burlyn and Janice McLaughlin and his grandparents, Summers and Maggie Rider.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jewel McLaughlin; his children, Rebecca (Allen) Stallings and Angela (Vince) Haile; his grandchildren, Hunter Jones and Ashton and Austin King; one great grandchild, Addyson Kate King; his mother, Charlotte Clendenon; his sister, Sandy Fox; his brother, Kenneth Thomas (Elzeda); several other family members and many friends.
