Melissa “Missy Rae” Munger passed away at UAB in Birmingham Friday, January 30, 2025 at the age of 53. A celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Peck Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
Missy was born to Carl Michael and Gloria Joan Self Jackson in Michigan on June 6, 1972. She was raised in the Baptist faith and truly loved life to the fullest. She was a licensed massage therapist at Kindred Spirits Massage Therapy in Hartselle. Missy was a phenomenal sketch artist that loved life and all it had to offer, often trying new things, successful or not, she was onto to something else. Her greatest love was her family but her grandchildren were her world. She is going to be terribly missed by all who new her.
Missy is preceded in death by her father, Carl “Mike” Jackson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Munger; son, Jackson Shaw; daughters, Raegan Wiley (Seth), and Kelsey Riendeau (John); mother, Joan Jackson, brother Michael Jackson (Kristi) and 13 grandchildren.
