Ms. Loventrice Crossley, age 77, of Vernon, AL, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at her residence.
Ms. Crossley was born January 10, 1949, in Lowndes Co., MS, to the late Willie Aubrey and Eva Mae Simpson. She was a seamstress, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Simpson, and two sisters, Katheline Bethune and Willie Mae Durette.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, February 7, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home, with Bro. James Godsey officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa White, of Vernon, AL; one son, Shane (Traci) Hassell, of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren, Dusti Bradford, Alex (Ethan) Langford, Kristen (Cory) Whitford, Hannah (Tyler) Walker, Kaylee Hassell, and Colin Hassell; a host of great-grandchildren; three sisters, Etoy Palmer, Rosie McMillen, and Shirley Holliday; and one brother, Tommy Simpson.
