Melissa Adeline Hendrix Rhodes was born September 07, 1954 in Crockett County, TN to the late William and Sarah Mathis Hendrix. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ms. Rhodes departed this life on November 22, 2025 in Columbia, TN making her stay in this life some 71 years, 2 months and 16 days.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Steven Pulley and wife Cora of Lexington, TN; Misty Kriner and husband Dale of Counce, TN; three sisters, Connie Mathis and husband Bobby of Waynesboro, TN; Deborah Benefield and husband Bobby of Lawrenceburg, TN; Rhonda Hayes of Waynesboro, TN; two brothers, Tracy Hendrix and wife Inez of Summertown, TN; Travis Hendrix and wife Melanie of Waynesboro, TN; she is also survived by four grandchildren, Savannah Smith and husband Tyler of Counce, TN; Steven Pulley Jr. and wife Rosa; Stephanie Boane and husband Blake; Samantha Reynolds all of Lexington, TN; and thirteen great grandchildren, Paxton Smith, Emberlee Pulley, Chevy Pulley, Waylon Pulley, Carson Travis, Ryder Travis, Jayla Reynolds, Jasiah Reynolds, Jamal Hurst, Payden Brewer, Athena Brewer, Easton Reynolds, and Weston Reynolds.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one infant brother, William Dwight Hendrix and a grandson, Clifford Reynolds.
Visitation with the Rhodes family will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Jimmy Pearcy officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitehead Cemetery.
