Obituary of Maynard Berryman Maynard Monroe Berryman of Brighton TN was born on December 22, 1938, in Iuka, MS to Austin & Dorthy Berryman. Maynard passed from this life on February 29, 2024, at the age of 85. Maynard proudly served in the United Sates Navy from March 1958 and retired in June of 1978 as a Senior Chief. Maynard worked at the Navy Flying Club for nine years and then begin his second career at Federal Express where he was a lead mechanic from November 1986 to December 2000.

Maynard enjoyed flying small aircraft, building, and working on them, squirrel hunting, cat fishing, gardening, and working in the yard. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grand – and great grandchildren. Maynard was a long-time member of Rosemark Baptist Church of Rosemark TN. where he enjoyed the teaching of Dr. Ed Lawrence.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at McMillan Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Lawrence officiating and Dale Berryman delivering the eulogy. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be in Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his son Nathan (Stephanie) Berryman of Atoka TN; brother Archie (Barbara Sue) Berryman and sister Linda Brown both of Tishomingo MS.; Sisters in law Ora Mae Berryman of Tishomingo MS., Carolyn (Dewayne) Robinson of Booneville Ms.: grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew (Ly), Kelsie and Colby Berryman.; great grandchildren Tyler, Joshua, Grayson, Violet, and Delilah; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 19 years Shirley Tennison Berryman; his second wife of 37 years Brenda Ferguson Berryman; three brothers, James Rayburn, Chester Austin and Johnny Albert Berryman.

Pallbearers are Christopher Berryman, Andrew Berryman, Colby Berryman, Tyler Berryman, Richard Berryman, Randy McKim and Marty Tennison.

Honorary pallbearer is Joshua Wall.
