Some of her greatest joys were cooking for family and delighting over their cleaned plates, playing Rook with siblings, enjoying fresh vegetables from her garden, and spending summer evenings enjoying the fruits of her labor at Shiloh.
Her commitment to Christ was shown through years of involvement in leadership at Bible Study Fellowship, assisting in childcare and serving as her Sunday school class secretary at Bellevue Baptist Church, and the witness she was to all those around her.
She is survived by her children, Katrina Fly and Steve Grisham (Julie); grandchildren, Stephen Fly (Aubra), Anna Fly, Bailey Grisham, Graceanne Grisham; great-granddaughter, Kaylie Fly; sister, Ludene Carlisle, and brothers, Arnold Rickman and Fred “Buck” Rickman, Jr. Her husband Jack Grisham preceded her in death, along with siblings Mildred Kimbrough, Ona Ruth Dixon, Dorothy Smith, and C.G. Rickman. Maxine’s greatest joy was family, and she gave generously to them in time and love. Her life was her family and her Lord.
