DECATUR– Maverick is thrilled to announce its first-ever Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree on Sunday, October 26, 2025! This free, family-friendly community event invites children ages 5-18 to carve pumpkins, showcase festive creations, and participate in a costume contest with exciting prizes for the most creative outfits.
Pre-registration is required by October 24, 2025, and carving kits will be provided for all participants. While children’s participation is free, community members are encouraged to sponsor a pumpkin to help make the event accessible to everyone.
The celebration will also feature food trucks and concessions, and the event is dog-friendly for leashed pets. Maverick’s partners, including Decatur Coca-Cola Bottling Co., PrimeTime Lawn Care, River City Woodwork, and Clark Memorials, are helping make this event a memorable fall tradition.
Maverick expects approximately 100 out-of-town gueststo join in the festivities. The event will be held at Maverick, and spectators can arrive at any time to enjoy the fun.
