Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 12 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Sardis Cemetery. Harold Spradlin will officiate.
She was employed with F. W. Woolworth Department Store for 31 years. She loved to cook, especially homemade biscuits for the Argo Fire Department for their monthly breakfast. She loved the Lord, her church family, and good gospel singing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. New; parents, V. Hill Alexander and Lizzie Turner; brothers, R.J. Alexander (Louise) and Bill Alexander and sister, Rebecca Kelly.
She is survived by her children, Martha Bridier (Jim) and Clayton New (Lynn); grandchildren, Brent Bridier (Nicole) and Holly Tolbert (Randy) and great grandchildren; Cantrell Bridier (Brooklyn), Brentley Bridier, Brianna Bridier and Cason Tolbert and a host of friends.
She was deeply loved by Argo First Baptist Church family and friends.
