Matthew “Matt” Ramey, age 42, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015.
Visitation will be today, 2-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Bousman officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Anderson.
Survivors include children, Adam Ramey (Asheley Jones), Kourtney Sandlin, Rebecca Ramey, Robert Elom, and Bethany Elom; brothers: David Ramey (Tammy) and Samuel Ramey; sisters, Lissa Hammond, Michelle Hammond, and Rachael Hammond; father, William J. Ramey (Pat); mother, Jimmie P. Hammond (Edgar);
also survived by Lisa Ramey; and the mothers of his children, Beverly Gott and Melissa Adams.
From the time we were little, we have always thought of our dad as the most hard-working, unbreakable man. With food on the table and a roof over our heads at all times. Our family has a bond that is unexplainable and unbreakable. Though there were many trials and tribulations along the way, we love him with all of our hearts, and are thankful that he is at peace with the Lord. Everywhere we go we will be reminded of his smiling face. Rest in peace our blue-eyed angel.
