Dr. Michael Todd Ellis, a devoted father, beloved son, and respected chiropractor of Guntersville,
Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Dr. Ellis dedicated over thirty years to chiropractic care in North Alabama. His steady hands and
compassionate presence brought comfort to countless patients, and his commitment to wellness
left a lasting mark on the lives he touched.
As an Eagle Scout and lifelong outdoorsman, Michael found joy in nature. Whether trekking to
the top of Wheeler Peak or casting his line into Lake Guntersville, he enjoyed every moment
spent under open skies. Michael also loved to play and watch team sports, cheering on the
Tennessee Volunteers at every opportunity and was a friend to many on the softball diamond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raybon Ellis, and his sister, Teresa Ellis. He is survived
by his mother, Leona Ellis of Tennessee, his son, Nicholas Ellis (Liberty Ellis) of California, his
daughter, Emma Ellis of Tennessee, his niece, Masonia Busby (David Busby) of Tennessee,
nephews Ryan Turner (Atica Turner) and Zachary Brazier (Shannon Brazier), both of Tennessee,
and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Dr. Ellis at Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge, in
the Goldenrod Room on Saturday, April 12th. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a
memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Please feel free to bring your favorite photo of Michael to
contribute to a community photo board.
