Mason Lee Wood Mason Lee Wood, 34, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Jasper, Alabama. Born on October 23, 1990, in Birmingham, Alabama, Mason brought joy and warmth to those around him throughout his life. His infectious smile and signature dimples could light up any room, and he never met a stranger.

Mason was a dedicated husband to his wife, Danyalle, and a loving father to his children: Keely, Braxton, Blain, Keetan, Oliver, and Charlotte. He was looking forward to the birth of his son, Mason Lee Jr. in August. He cherished his family deeply and found immense joy in being a father.

He is also survived by his parents: Mike and Wendy Wood and Rick and Jackie Goodwin; his father and mother-in -law Troy and Shelly Carter his brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Linday, Mathew and Brandy, Brett and Amanda, and BJ and Christy; his brothers Bradley and Gabriel; his sister Ashley and Lee, his brother-in-law Wyatt and Haylee Carter and Zachary and Nicole Carter and his sister-in-law Jerzie Carter. His grandparents Johnny and Kay Ford also survive him.

Mason was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews: Mary Reese, Vada, Kinzy, Kylie Ann, Khole, Alisa, Tristan (Tanner), Taylor (Bret), Reagan, Sarah, Ella, Harper, Emma, Vivian, Hunter (Destiny), Dylan (Danie), Luke, and Riley

Mason will be greatly missed by all of his family, also including many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mason worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He made many good friends throughout his career. He enjoyed racing with his son, coaching his boys in various sports, watching daughter cheer, hunting, and fishing. He had a newfound love for traveling with many trips planned.

He was preceded in death by his brother Shane Goodwin; grandparents Mr. & Mrs. George Wood; Aunt Tommie Lou Goodwin; and Uncle Jonathon Ford.

A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2025, at Blooming Grove Baptist Church in Jasper, Alabama. Family will receive visitors from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, before the service begins at 2:00 PM.

Mason’s vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

In lieu of traditional black attire, the family is requesting guests wear something that reflects Mason’s vibrant personality.
