Mary Ola Raney Shaheen age 87 of Florida, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 in Loxahatchee, FL. Mrs. Shaheen was born March 30, 1926 in Limestone County, AL to Claude Raney and Nellie McCuen Raney.
Services will be Monday, February 24, 2014 10:00 p.m., at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with James Lemay and Judge Jerry Bates officiating. The body will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Visitation will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 and Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Shaheen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dearborn, MI and Saint Ann Catholic Church in West Palm Beach, Fl.
Preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Nellie Raney; four brothers, Louie Raney, Ed Raney, Paul Raney and Spears Raney; sister, Douglas Raney Davis.
Survived by her husband, Frank Shaheen of Wellington, FL; daughter, Mary “Jodie” Marder of West Palm Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Frank Schlaff of Miami, FL and John Schlaff of Taos, New Mexico; two brothers, Silas Raney of Louisville, KY and Ross Raney and wife, Pat of Athens, AL; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Frank Schlaff, John Schlaff, Danny Raney, Stephen Raney and Mike Raney
