Mary Margaret Lindsey Creasy, age 89, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with Pastor Chris Compton and Associate Pastor Phillip Cooper officiating. Grandchildren, Dawn Weems and Miranda McAfee will sing and play Amazing Grace. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Creasy was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Florence and was preceded in death by her husband, Lando Creasy; sons, Dennis and Billy Creasy; and parents John and Velma Lindsey.
She is survived by her son, Jay Creasy; daughter, Marilyn McAfee; sister, Effie Lindsey; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Pallbearers include James, Jason and Adam Creasy, Brent Weems, Sam and Kenneth McClure.
Honorary pallbearers are Eugene McClure and John Lindsey.
The family expresses special thanks to Bro. Phil, Sister Kaye, Bro. Chris, Sandra, Shirley, Elaine, Sam, Glenda, Sandy and Jessica.
