Mary “Mae” McConnell Daly, age 96, of Athens, AL died March 12, 2026 at Limestone Health Facility in Athens. She was born March 22, 1929 in Athens to Daly and Ila McConnell. She was a member of the Greenbrier Baptist Church and retired from Limestone County School System. Mrs. Daly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Russell Daly. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026 at Spry Funeral Home of Athens. Services to follow in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Monday with interment afterward at Athens City Cemetery.
