Mary Irene “Tootsie” Daniel, age 85, passed away Tuesday September 22, 2020.
She was a beautiful Lady inside and out. She was such a loving and caring soul. She loved Jesus very much, and it showed by her loving heart and kindness she showed to everyone around her. Mary Irene Daniel was an Angel on earth. She was such a hard worker; she worked very hard for everything she had.
She was a member of Sumiton First Baptist Church. She loved her church and singing in the choir. She was quiet, but her smile would simply light up the room. Mary was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. May her kind sweet spirit live with us as she takes on her new life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be Friday September 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ted Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Good Hope Baptist Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 2-3 pm.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert S. (Hub) Daniel; daughter, Connie Daniel Eady; parents, Hershel and Clarence Blackmon; sisters, Kathleen McMichens and Joan Uptain and her brother, Homer Blackmon.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lawana Ann Daniel Allums; sons-in-law, Kenneth L. Allums, Jr and Jerry D. Eady, Jr.; granddaughters, Connie DeAnn Eady Attaway (Chad), Jennifer D. Eady Smith (Jarrett), Lana Dashae Allums Self (Poncho); great grandchildren, BroDee M. Smith, Briley D. Smith and Hannah Grace Smith; brother, Donald Blackmon (Helen); sister, Jane Allcorn (Terry); several other relatives and many friends.
