It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Helen Machen, who departed this world on February 2nd, 2024. Mary Helen, aged 85, was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Mary Helen is preceded in death by her son, Greg Kennamer, her parents, John and Nannie Lee Worthen, and her husband, Joe Edd. Her life was marked by resilience, grace, and a deep commitment to her family.
She faced life’s challenges with unwavering strength and a kind spirit that touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mary Helen is survived by her devoted daughter, Stacy Windsor, and son-in-law Jeremy and her two step children, Sue Gibson (Danny) and Joey Machen (Mary Ann). Mary Helen’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother, and she leaves behind a lasting impact on her grandchildren:
Kelby Creel (Thomas) and Cade Copeland. Mary Helen was also blessed to witness the birth of her great-granddaughter, Collier Frances Creel, who brought joy and laughter into her life. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. She took great joy in caring for her cats and her flowers.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday February 5, 2024 from 11am- 1pm followed by a graveside service at Center Point cemetery at 2 pm.
May Mary Helen Machen rest in eternal peace, she will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
