A private family service for Mrs. Mary Helen Gibson, age 90, will be held Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with a private burial in Oakland Cemetery.
Mrs. McKinley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on the morning of March 27, 2020. She was born on October 3, 1929 to the late R. P. and Myrtle Gibson.
Mrs. McKinley was a lifelong resident of Trenton, she was a graduate of Peabody High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ.
Mrs. McKinley was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James McKinley; two brothers; two sisters; and a daughter, Jan Richardson.
Mrs. McKinley is survived by a daughter, Jean Westbrook (Lemmie); three sons John McKinley (Pam), Jerry McKinley, and Jim McKinley (Sandra); four grandchildren, Tonya Richardson, Tamra Woodward (Vance), Hudson McKinley, and Hannah McKinley; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Wylee Ann Woodward; a brother, Frank Gibson (Sandra); four nieces; and a special caregiver, Paula Peay.
