Mary Hazel Miller was born on March 29, 1941 and passed away January 5, 2026.
Hazel graduated from New Hope High School and went on to David Lipscomb University and Athens State University, where she earned her BS degree in business. She worked for the US Army and NASA until her retirement.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Gardner and Mary Moon; her brothers, Charles & Johnie Gardner Moon; sister, Sara Nell Tracy and nephew, Jacob Aday.
Hazel is survived by her son James Gardner (Jim) Miller; sister, Judy Aday, and nephews Jeff, Perry, Chet, & Randy Moon, Mark, Paul, & John Tracy, and Grant Aday.
Visitation will be on Thursday 11am to 1pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1pm with Rev. Michael Carpenter officiating.
Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
