Mrs. Linda R. Stewart, age 76 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital.
Linda loved the Lord. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church. She was also a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Gene Stewart; her children, Patrick Stewart, Phillip (Emily) Stewart, and Heather (Tim) Calfee; her grandchildren, Allison French, Thomas French, William (Sarah Grace) Stewart; Connor (Kelli) Calfee, Clinton (Shelby) Stewart, Luke Calfee, John David Stewart, and Vanessa Stewart; great grandchildren, Charlie French and Baby Calfee on the way; brother, Steve (Rita) Cochran; sisters, Debbie (Jimmy) Ballinger, Jennifer (Kent) Glasscock, and Christy (Andy) Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Peggy Cochran; and sister, Patty Cochran.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Stewart and Bro. Perry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. They will also receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
