Mary Gail Nelson, age 66, of Union Grove, Alabama, died – Thursday – March 10, 2016 at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville Alabama.
She was born on February 8, 1950 the daughter of Woodrow Honea & Mary Helen Martin Honea. She retired from Teledyne Brown Solutions in June of 2011. She had lived in the Morgan City area for 28 years, moving here from Germany.
She was a member of Truth Church in Arab.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years: Forrest Charles Nelson; her mother: Mary Helen Honea; two sons: Brian J. Nelson (Tina) and Sean M. Nelson (Nancy); daughter: Ashley Y. Nelson (Clifford Calloway); grandchildren: Natalie Nelson, Emily Nelson, Autumn Nelson, Justin Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Kristian Calloway, Nathan Calloway and Andrew Stewart; brother: Mike W. Honea (Star). She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Honea.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday – March 14, 2016 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City, with Brother Steve Funderburk, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
