Mary Frances Christopher, age 95, of Athens, Alabama passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1920 in Athens, Alabama to John Robert Coffman and Willie Mae Bartlett Coffman.

Mary Frances is preceded in death by her parents: John and Willie Mae Coffman, son: Joe Wiley Christopher, sister: Evelyn Beasley and brother: John R. Coffman Jr.

Services will be Monday, November 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Coffey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Athens City Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter: Janice Christopher of Athens, two nieces: Frances McAleer (Vince) of Birmingham, and Carol Robison (Robbie) of Val Rico, Florida. She is also survived by her two nephews: Jay Beasley (Nicole) of Athens, Bob Coffman (DeeAnn) of Madison, several great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.

Mary Frances was a member of First Christian Church, a member of the Christian Women Fellowship at First Christian Church. She retired from Redstone Arsenal in February of 1986 after 20 years of service. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mary Frances was a volunteer for United Way, Hospice, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She also volunteered for the Athens Limestone Council on Aging delivering meals on wheels.

Family asks for memorials to be made to First Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be: Juddy Clem, Danny Curnutt, Brian Patterson, Marvin Todd, John Beasley and Will McAleer. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Bailey, Chuck Caler and Bill Curnutt.
