Mary Ella Mitchell, age 80, of Cordova, passed away October 2, 2019. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lance C. Mitchell and her son William “Billy” Wallace Mitchell. Mary is survived by her sons, Kevin (Carla) Mitchell, Dan (Robin) Mitchell and Delaney (Robin) Mitchell; grandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Kayla Smith, Jordan (Britany) Mitchell, Max Mitchell and Isabella Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Brayden Mitchell, Ansley Mitchell and a host of extended family and friends. She was a member of Dilworth Church of Christ. Mary was a dietician for several nursing homes. After retiring from Shadescrest Health Care & Rehabilitation Center she went to work for the Senior Aide Program and The Unemployment Office. Services will be held Monday, October 7, 2019 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Earl Barnett officiating. Visitation in the Parlor from 1:00-2:30 pm. Funeral service in our Chapel beginning at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
