Mary Elizabeth Langlois, 64, of Skyline, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
Born on November 4,1960, in Kankakee, IL, Mary was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life – especially arts and crafts, antique treasures, and the warmth of her family. Her creativity and kind spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Mary was a woman of Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jack and Doryl Langlois. She is survived by her sons, Joshua Hagen and Dillon (Katelynn) Peacock; her cherished grandson, Jensen Peacock; and her siblings, Desiree (Rodney) Lipe, John (Nancy) Langlois, Donald (Rickie) Langlois, Jackie (Bryan) Holland, Michael (Brandi) Langlois, and Michelle (Terry) Reinsmith. Mary also leaves behind her two loyal fur babies, Spook and Azulah, who were always by her side.
Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her strength, wit, and gentle presence will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26th at10:00AM at Scottsboro Funeral Home, Scottsboro, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Felines and Canines Rescue Center of Northern Alabama (www.fcrescuecenter.org) in honor of Mary’s love for family and community.
