Mary Christine McAdams Autry, age 82, passed away Sunday in Jackson. She was born June 9, 1941 in the Middlefork Community to the late Clyde and Rheba McAdams. She retired early from Anchor Swan to care for her father until his death. She enjoyed caring for many in the community as a sitter. She was saved as a teenager at a tent revival in Indiana, where she lived a majority of her school years. Later in life, she was baptized at Chapel Hill Baptist Church and joined there.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Dunivan and son-in-law, Keith Dunivan. Survivors include her beloved daughters and their husbands, Theresa (James) Gateley and Lisa (Jerry) King; her beloved granddaughter, Emily (Chandler) Grissom; her pride and joy, Anniston and Evelyn Grissom; and her brother, Walter Bain (Carolyn) McAdams.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 2 – 9 PM and on Wednesday, 10 AM until time of service.
