Carol Freeman BarnettCarol Freeman Barnett, age 85 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away August 27, 2023. He was a member of White House Church of Christ.

There will be a private service only.

Mr. Barnett was born in Double Springs, Alabama on December 25, 1937 to Freeman Anderson and Rosey Barnett. He attended Corova High School. After school he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska where he met and married the love of his life, Carolyn May Barnett of 63 Years. They moved to Haleyville where they raised their family. He worked and retired from Centurytel of 32 Years.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Carolyn May Barnett; children, Steve (Vicki) Barnett of Bay Minette, AL, Sharon (Andy) Tucker of Lynn, AL and Phillip (Ginger) Barnett of Haleyville, AL; grandchildren, Elizabeth Barnett, Jake Barnett, Sara (Zach) Snow, Ashley (Jared) Symonds and Amber (Ryan) Spann; seven great grandchildren; brothers, L.C. Barnett and Donnie Barnett; sister, I.V. Craft; sister in law, Judy Kakns; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Rosey Barnett; grandson, Christopher Freeman Barnett; and daughter in law, Darlenia Barnett.

Mr. Barnett was an avid hunter. He had a passion for turkey hunting. He traveled near and far to get on a bird. The love of the hunt. His favorite place to hunt was the Bankhead Forest. He also had a love for deer hunting, fishing and trapping.

Mr. Barnett loved spending time with his family and reminiscing about stories of the hunt!
