Mary Bruton Young, 68, of Tuscumbia, formerly of Waterloo passed away, Saturday, December 2, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will immediately follow with Jerry Hooper officiating. Burial will be at Young Family Cemetery.
Mary was one of a kind. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She loved her family more than anything. Mary and Billy shared over 40 years of love and memories together. Her boys were her world. If you asked anyone, she would tell you they were perfect. Her granddollies were her life. Mary went to every single event they had. She would spend all day in the heat to be with them. She loved her family, and to her, everyone was family. Mary never met a stranger. She loved life so much. When she was in a room you knew she was there. She was going to have fun and live the way she wanted to live. If Mary could, she would have stayed in the 70s and lived a hippie lifestyle on a beach. Mary will be missed by her family and friends. We are comforted knowing that she is reunited with Billy in heaven. She is preceded in death by, her husband, Billy Young; parents, Aline and Leonard Bruton; sisters Linda Moore and Brenda Besco; brother, Phillip Bruton.
She is survived by her sons, Jesse Young (Meka) and Josh Young (Amanda); grandchildren, Jayden, Ryleigh, Eli, Reese, Grace, and Aliya Young and Brentyn Lancaster; sister, Lena Sanchez.
Pallbearers will be Cass Woods, Colt Smith, Andy Croy, Adam Holcombe, Justin Wilson, and Chris Moore.
Honorary pallbearer will be David Holcombe.
