Mary Bess Tidwell was born March 13, 1928 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Gilbert Spencer and Rosie Smallwood Plunk.
Mrs. Tidwell departed this life on December 2, 2012 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 8 Months, 19 Days.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ramer, TN and was a homemaker. She was a good mother and grandmother who loved all of her family very much.
She is survived by a son, Merle Travis Sanders Tidwell of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren, Kristy Hathcock and husband Brian of Selmer, TN, Merle Anthony Tidwell and wife Andrea of Selmer, TN, Randall Shane Tidwell and wife Andrea of Bethel Springs, TN, Shana Lynn Tidwell of Bethel Springs, TN; a sister, Dottie Dancer Hubanks and husband Vernon of Adamsville, TN; three great grandchildren, Jannie Catherine Hathcock of Selmer, TN, Niki Hathcock of Selmer, TN, Hunter Travis Tidwell of Selmer, TN; a step great grandchild, Elizabeth. A host of nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her first husband, Murry Sanders, her second husband, Worley Tidwell; a daughter, Janie Doris Sanders; a son, Randall Hurley Tidwell; two sisters, Bonnie Christopher, Pansy Christopher; two brothers, Travis Plunk, Petie Plunk.
