Mary Ann Duncan, 68, of Florence, AL, passed away on May 7, 2025. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Colbert Memorial Chapel from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. with a service to follow at 10. Jerry George and Philip Duncan will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mary’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her child, whom she raised with love. She brought to life countless handmade treasures through sewing, crocheting, and other crafts. She was also an avid reader.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Lucille Colton; brothers, Dean Leroy Colton and Clifford Lee Colton; and 3 grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband, Marlin Duncan of Florence, AL; daughter, Jessica Thompson (Eric) of Macon, GA; granddaughter, Carys Thompson of Macon, GA; sister, Betty Burns of Muscle Shoals, AL; brother, Victor Colton of Muscle Shoals, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Colin Duncan of Spruce Pine, AL; Robert Duncan of Sheffield, AL; Paul Colton of Rainbow, CA; Jared Colton of Perkins, OK; Justin Colton of Broken Arrow, OK; and Eric Thompson of Macon, GA.
