Martha Sue Weaver Mrs. Martha Sue Weaver also known as “Granny”, age 91 of Guin, AL passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at her home accompanied by her family.

Born October 3, 1933, in Guin AL. She is the Daughter of the late Eli Alexander and Dorothy Eubanks Plyler. She graduated from Marion County High School. Martha Sue was a devout Christian and member of the New Hope Church of Christ in Guin. She had a passion for quilting, embroidery, and needlepoint. She enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Martha is survived by Children- James David (Bo) Weaver (Wanda) of Pell City, Ronald Dean Weaver (Vickie) of Guin, Mary Carol Miles (Russell Lease) of Guin; 2 Brothers- Robert Plyler (Betty) and Joe Plyler (Diane); 1 Sister- Mary Howard; 5 Grandchildren- Travis Weaver (Jenny), Eli Weaver (Mitzi), Lindsey Terry (Michael), Hollie Christopher (Drew), and Kyle Bolton (Tressa); 7 Great-grandchildren- Ethan, Brooklyn, Lydia, Alexander, Greyson, Kinley, and Kaylee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James L.J. Weaver; and her parents Eli Alexander and Dorothy Eubanks Plyler.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ with a service immediately following. The burial will be at West Alabama Memorial Cemetery in Gu-Win, AL.
