Martha Sue BurnsMartha Sue Burns, 80, entered into eternal rest, as she passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Marshall County, AL, on June 24, 2025. A celebration of Life service will held Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11AM at Cremation Services of East Alabama Chapel, 733 White Plains Road, Anniston, AL, with Reverend Bill Snow officiating.

She was born in Anniston, AL in 1945 to parents Charles and Madoline Storey of Ohatchee, AL. She is survived by son Joe Harris (Diane) of Anniston, grandchildren Brittany Harris and Jacob Harris of Anniston, Madeline Borders and Garrett Borders of Leeds, and Kaitlyn Taylor of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Burns of Piedmont, parents Charles and Madoline Storey of Ohatchee, sons Scott Harris of Anniston and David Borders of Piedmont, brothers Howard, Billy, Don, and Arthur, and sisters Joanne Lockhart, Beth Seidler, and Jane Woody.

A lifelong resident of Calhoun County, she attended Anniston High School. Throughout the years, she was employed at TapeCraft, Classic Ribbon, Hardees at JSU, and later retired from Blue Mountain Industries.
