Kenneth David Borders, 52, of Piedmont, AL entered into eternal rest in Etowah County, AL, on June 1, 2025, after a long illness. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday. July 19, 2025, at 11AM at Cremation Services of East Alabama, 733 White Plains Rd, Anniston, AL with Reverend Bill Snow officiating.
David was born in Anniston, AL in 1972 to parents Kenneth Ray Borders and Martha Sue Storey. He is survived by his father Kenneth Borders (Melissa) of Alexandria, AL, mother Sue Burns of Piedmont, AL, brothers Joe Harris (Diane) of Anniston AL, Joseph Borders (Leah), the mother of his children Michelle Borders of Leeds, AL, daughters Kaitlyn Taylor of Florida, Madeline Borders of Leeds, and son Garrett Borders of Leeds, niece Brittany Harris of Anniston, and nephews Jacob Harris of Anniston, and Gabriel and Harrison Borders.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Hoyt Burns of Piedmont AL, grandparents Charles and Madoline Storey of Ohatchee, AL, Proctor and Mary Borders of Blue Mountain AL, and his brother Scott Harris of Anniston AL.
A lifelong resident of Calhoun County, David attended school all twelve years in the Alexandria School System where he was a member of the marching band and concert band. He was an accomplished saxophonist and was awarded the John Phillip Sousa Award. The Sousa Award is the pinnacle of achievement in High School band, honoring the top student and recognizing superior musicianship and outstanding dedication.
