Martha Schultz Nichols – Obituary

Martha Schultz Nichols was born to Peter and Lena Nightengale Schultz on Feb. 25, 1921, at Coy, Oklahoma. She passed away on May 30 ,2017, at the Shearer-Richardson Memorial Nursing Home, Okolona,MS. She married Loyd Harvey Nichols on March 21,1943, at Fredonia, KS. They had a short, happy 12 years together before he suddenly passed away in l955. She was a member of the Okolona Mennonite Church. She spent many years in housekeeping.

Survivors include two daughters; Phyllis (Adrian)Goossen; and Delila (Oliver) Goossen all of Okolona, MS. 1 sister, Delores Jantz of Brookston, TX; 1 sister-in-law, Josie Schultz of Montezuma, KS; 10 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017, from 3PM to 6PM at the Okolona Mennonite Church,
County Road 173, Okolona, MS. Funeral service will be Friday, June 2, 2017, at 7:00PM at Okolona Mennonite Church. Officiating ministers will be Min. Jeff Jantz, Min. Todd Becker, and Min. Ron Jantz. Pallbearers are grandsons, Steve Goossen, Merlyn Goossen, Dean Reimer, Mark Koehn, Brian Isaac, Galen Jantz, Vaughn Koehn, Dwonn Schmidt.

She will be buried on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Koger Cemetery in Fredonia, KS. Holland Funeral Directors, Okolona Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be e mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net
