Martha A. Holmes age 80 passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Holmes was born July 5, 1933 in Limestone County to Hartselle Schrimsher and Ethel Wales Schrimsher.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Holmes are Monday, February 3, 2014 at Roselawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2014 from 11:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Fred Lackey officiating.
She is survived by her son, Randy Holmes and his wife Charlotte; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Davis and Barbara Atchley; brother, Douglas Schrimsher and wife Laurene.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Holmes; parents, Hartselle and Ethel Schrimsher; brothers, Jimmy Schrimsher; sisters, Joyce Cribbs, Joan Yarbrough, Kathleen Schrimsher and Nancy Curly.
Pallbearers are Michael Raney, Adam Pettus, Spencer Holmes and Jerry Miller. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren.
